Bonjour.

I’m Holly Foghorn, but sometimes Holly Monstrous. I like pandas, origami, body modification and lots of other things I’ll show you here.

I’m not really a rampant ego-maniac, I just come across as one.

I’m 20, and not really looking forward to getting older. I’d cut myself out of the race now if I wasn’t so happy otherwise. Or too much of a chicken. I was born in Luton, but I’ve grown up (I use the term loosely) in Lincoln. I sometimes don’t pronounce my ‘t’s thanks to my Dad but still get called posh all the time.

I’m a long time vegetarian and seriously passionate about it. I support organic/fair-trade production yet work part time as a chicken shelver and till girl. I’m a Conservation and Restoration student, in the shadow of Lincoln cathedral.

I think papers like the Daily Mail fuel the curtain-twitching Keep Up With The Joneses paranoia of the idiotic right-wing British middle-classes.

I’m very much in love. I wish that photo booths that take 4 different pictures were still around. I’m happiest sat outside in the summer on a nice sunny spot of grass or a beach with my friends and healthy supply of alcohol but better if there is music and games too.

Some of my favourite music is Alexisonfire, Thrice, Idlewild, M.I.A and Dizzee Rascal. I have a soft spot for screaming, thumping basslines and grime.

I love Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet to an obsessive degree. I also like 300, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Little Miss Sunshine, Superbad, Anchorman, The History Boys and Love Actually amongst others. My parents bought me Dumbo for Xmas and every time I watch it I cry.

I watch QI, always hoping Stephn Fry will do his ‘German with his lost Handy’ impression again. Men Behaving Badly, Blackadder, Family Guy, Black Books and Modern Toss win.

I read a lot, favouring explained cultural lists/Q&A’s and encyclopaedias. Lolita and I Capture The Castle are my two favourite books.

That is about it, I guess. I miss the rigaramole, tension and heightened drama of being in the last few years of secondary school.
